I am a self-taught Amateur Photographer, with an eye for beauty, and a passion for the craft. So, why the name Aimless Photography? Because I started my freelance amateur photography career with no real direction, or specialty. Now, focusing more on Black & White images, I have a little more sense of direction, but not by design. I try to capture the "moment" when the "moment" is available (which still makes my photography Aimless), and when I convert an image to B&W, that "moment" can become a work of art. To a certain degree, unless you're a specified racing (Grand Prix,etc.) or Wedding photographer, almost all photography is "Aimless". There are thousands of great photographers that shoot anything from Landscapes to Architecture, Nature and Portraits, just as I do, so being "Aimless" isn't all that bad when you think about it ;-). When my camera is on, I see the world frame-by-frame, and I do my best to turn the normal everyday, into the never forgotten, and I feel that it's best for me to do so with B&W. To me, B&W's create more depth in photos than Color, and B&W's often seem to offer a story to go along with my images. Pictures are worth a thousand words, and I think by mastering B&W's, my images can be worth one more. I have not abandoned Color images, but converting to B&W's often seem to add a sense of instant history to almost any image captured, and I want every photo that I take to never be forgotten. I have found a new passion in Black & Whites, and other than a few steps in coverting a color image, b&w's do not require as much Photo Shop "manipulation" as color (Landscape) images do....In My Opinion ;-) As it seems, I give lots of special attention to my Black & White Images, but please do not hesitate to view my Colorful Architecture, Landscape, Nature, and Portait photography, along with my "Artistic Touch" Images where I pay a little extra special Photoshop attention to some of my images....just for fun ;-) Enjoy, and THANK YOU for visiting Aimless Photography, and please come back soon.
